Mutual fund investors spooked by negative SIP returns in monthly account statements

“If you have invested in equities for long term, even the returns in a year should not be taken into account. You need to see how your scheme will fare in five years or ten years, however far your goal is. We generally calculate for the returns in the long-term at a rate of 12 per cent. Investors have already got good returns in the past few years,” says Santosh Joseph, Founder & Managing Partner, Germinate Wealth Solutions. Joseph adds that all these equity schemes will start performing again, and investors need to stick to their scheme.
